12 weeks pregnant – moving further along in your pregnancy, at this stage you may be wondering what is going on with your baby and what you may be experiencing or going to experience throughout this time. There are a few things that you may start to notice, but not much.
Baby development
Well, now your baby will have curled toes and his or her fingers will open and close. Yes their mouth will make some sucking movements. The baby’s eyes move from the side to right where they are suppose to be at this stage and they will be developing multiple nerve cells. Your baby will also have his kidneys, which are putting urine into the bladder, so here your baby is getting all set and ready for the rest of the term pregnancy. Another exciting thing is that your baby is over two inches long which is the size of a lime. Your bundle of joy is growing and growing inside of you as you sleep.
What is going on with you?
Well, we always wonder what goes on with our bodies during pregnancy and because the uterus has grown , your doctor can feel the top of it every time you go see him and you may be already wearing maternity clothing around the house and out to events. Sometimes you may not have to start until later, but this is just a thought of what you may be experiencing. Maternity clothes can be found everywhere and they can be very stylish, so you do not have to worry about always walking out the house in just sweats and a t-shirt unless that is what you are comfortable in.
Heart Burn
Another thing that goes on is that you might start experiencing some heartburn or acid indigestion as well. This occurs when you are pregnant and most of the time it is just the placenta producing a lot of progesterone, which makes everything go out of whack, like your esophagus will separate from your stomach because the valve is now relaxed. Sometimes, when you lie down, gastric acid can seep back up and start your heartburn. These are just a few things to be aware of and you can ask your doctor what medications you may take for settling your heartburn as well.
Overall
Well overall everything should be fine; if you are still experiencing morning sickness it may pass or it will last until you are done with pregnancy. This is one thing that some women can get rid of, while others experience a little longer. Keep taking your prenatal vitamins every day as ordered unless you are on a really good diet, then you can go over that with your doctor. Other than that, you will be able to feel your little joy soon enough, since you will know when he or she is awake or asleep. Remember also to exercise a little in order to get ready for your birth, but also to maintain certain weight, so that you will not put too much weight on.
